Terms of Use
A free Morse code translator that runs in your browser. These terms keep expectations clear: what the tool does, what it is not for, and how to use it safely.
Last updated: October 2026
1. What this site is
This website provides a free static Morse code translator. Translation between text and International Morse Code, audio playback, WAV download, and share-link generation all runentirely in your browser. There is no account, no translation API, and no upload of the text you enter.
You may use the tool for personal, educational, and informational purposes, including learning Morse, checking a chart, preparing classroom material, or encoding short phrases for crafts and jewelry.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, you will not:
- Use the tool to harass, threaten, or deceive others, or to encode content that is unlawful.
- Attempt to disrupt the site, probe its hosting, or misrepresent its output as certified or official.
- Remove or obscure legal notices, or present this free educational tool as a licensed examination system.
Share links encode your message in the page URL on your own device. If you send that URL to someone, they will see the message — do not share URLs containing private text.
3. Accuracy
Conversion follows International Morse Code as commonly implemented for Latin letters, digits, and listed punctuation. Related codes for other scripts are not mixed in, so a letter always maps to the same pattern on this site.
The tool is an educational aid, not a certified maritime or amateur-radio training systemand not a substitute for licensed operating practice. Unsupported characters are called out in the interface; unknown Morse sequences are flagged rather than guessed.
4. Safety
- Audio, light-signal, and vibration features depend on your browser and device, and browsers may block audio until you interact with the page.
- Keep playback volume at a comfortable level, especially with headphones.
- Do not rely on this tool as the sole method of sending emergency communications.Web pages can be unavailable offline on a first visit, and browsers can delay or block sound. See the Disclaimer for details.
5. Your content
You keep all rights to text you type or paste. Because translation happens locally, your message isnot transmitted to us. Files you download (text or WAV) are generated on your device and belong to you. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use and share any content you enter.
6. Availability
The site is provided on a best-effort basis. A small service worker may cache static files on your device so the tool keeps working offline after the first visit, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and features may change as browsers evolve. Preferences such as theme, speed, tone, and volume may be stored in localStorage on your device; clearing site data resets them.
7. Liability
The software and content are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the site, including reliance on translations for safety-critical or emergency purposes.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you may have under applicable consumer law that cannot be waived by agreement.
8. Changes & contact
We may update these terms when the site changes; the “Last updated” date above reflects the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
