1. Overview

This is a static, browser-first website. There is no user account, no translation API, and no server that receives the text or Morse you enter. Translation, audio synthesis, file downloads, and share-link encoding all execute as JavaScript and Web Audio on your own device.

In short: we do not see, store, or sell your messages. If you clear this site’s data, there is nothing about your translations left behind on our side — because it was never sent.

2. What we don’t collect

  • Message content — input text, Morse output, and playback are never uploaded.
  • Accounts or identifiers — the site has no sign-in and sets no advertising or analytics identifiers for translator input.
  • Translator analytics — this site does not use analytics that capture what you type, play, download, or share.

Standard web hosting inevitably processes technical data (such as IP address and requested URLs) to deliver pages. That is handled by the hosting provider, not by a translation backend — there isn’t one.

3. What stays on your device

Optional conveniences are saved only in your browser:

  • Preferences — theme, speed (WPM), tone, volume, and last direction in localStorage. Your message is never written there.
  • Offline cache — a small service worker may cache static files so the tool keeps working offline after the first visit.
  • Downloads — text and WAV files you export are generated locally and saved wherever your browser puts downloads.

Clearing site data or using private browsing removes or isolates these items on your device.

4. Share links

The Share feature encodes your current message in the page URL on your device — nothing is uploaded to create the link. Anyone who opens that URL will see the encoded message.

  • Do not share URLs that contain private, sensitive, or personal text.
  • Very long messages cannot fit in a URL; the app will tell you and offer to copy the text instead.
  • Removing the message parameters from the URL removes the shared content from the link.

5. Cookies & storage

The site itself does not require cookies to translate. It uses localStorage and the Cache Storage API for the preferences and offline behavior described above. See theCookie Policy for the complete table, retention, and how to clear each item.

6. Third parties

  • Fonts (Google Fonts) — the interface loads typefaces from Google’s CDN. A font request can expose your IP address and user agent to Google, as with any CDN asset.
  • Hosting & delivery — static files are served by the hosting/CDN provider, which may keep standard server logs for security and reliability.

There are no social plugins, ad networks, or cross-site trackers embedded for the translator itself.

7. Your choices

  • Use the translator without changing any setting — nothing extra is stored until you adjust preferences or enable offline caching by visiting.
  • Clear localStorage and site data in your browser settings to erase preferences and the offline cache.
  • Block third-party font requests with a content blocker if you prefer system fonts; the tool still works.
  • Parents and educators: the site has no age gate because it collects no accounts or message content, but share links should be supervised since URLs can carry text.

8. Changes & contact

If the site’s data handling changes, this policy will be updated and the “Last updated” date revised. For privacy questions, use the Contact page. For accuracy and safety limits, read the Disclaimer and Terms.
