Your computer keyboard also works. Letters, numbers, punctuation, space, and backspace type directly — nothing is uploaded.

How to use the Morse keyboard

  1. Step 01

    Tap a key

Each key is a letter, number, or symbol with its Morse code underneath. Space and backspace sit on the bottom row.

  2. Step 02

    Read the Morse

Your text and the Morse translation appear together. Switch layouts for numbers and punctuation, or type on a physical keyboard.

  3. Step 03

    Play, copy, or save

Hear the message, copy text or Morse, or download a file. Optional key sound plays each character as you tap.

On-screen Morse typing

A Morse code keyboard lets you compose a message without memorizing every sequence first. This layout follows a standard keyboard: QWERTY for letters, a number row, and a symbols layer for punctuation. International Morse is shown on each key as dots and dashes.

Tapping a key inserts that character and updates the Morse line using spaces between letters and a slash between words. The same engine powers the Morse translator, so encoding matches the rest of the site.

On a phone, the keys are sized for thumbs and the action bar stays easy to reach. On a computer, your physical keyboard types into the same message — useful for longer text — while the on-screen keys remain a live Morse reference.
